“The space needs to look striking, except without striking colours”. We took heed in the words of the homeowners, a newly engaged couple of pharmacists.

Hospitals have neon colours. It only makes sense to disarm the bright colours and let their home be a space that was clearly distinguished from their workplace. Their home greets them with predominantly grayscale colours with wooden textures for that natural look.

This contemporary makeover was done with minimal elements (and budget). In the little that was done, a lot was catered to their unique love for food. Their kitchen however, did not mirror their big appetites. This got us creating a base unit that was built for more storage space, and enhanced the scale of the kitchen altogether. What was unpromising is now inspiring.

由于医院采用极为光亮的照明，我们排除了明亮耀眼的色调，选择以灰色系为主，再配上木材纹理，打造出更为自然的风格，让每天迎接他们归来的家园，明显区别于工作场所的空间。

此单位的改造採用了极简元素（和预算）完成，但却大大地迎合了屋主对食物的独特热爱。尤其在看似简单的厨房里，我们虽然仅创造了一个基础单位，却同时建立了更多的储藏空间，并提升了厨房的整体规模。这个过去看似平凡无奇的单位，如今变得舒适惬意。
